Started in 2009, still going
Chibsah Foundation was established in 2009 as a non-profit subsidiary of YAC Group, born from a simple conviction: access to essential resources is a fundamental human right, not a privilege.
What began as modest community outreach has grown into a comprehensive organisation reaching families through healthcare programmes, clean water projects and educational support.
Today we work alongside partners, donors and volunteers to close the gap between need and opportunity — on the principle that empowered communities build their own sustainable futures.

Yussif Alhassan Chibsah
Founder & Chairman
From football legend to humanitarian leader
From the classrooms of Prempeh College to the stadium lights of Europe, Yussif Alhassan Chibsah's journey is one of discipline, resilience and vision. Born in Accra in 1983, he discovered early that football was more than a game — it was a platform for leadership and service.
“Football gave me discipline, but education gave me purpose. I want to give both to the next generation.”
A career across continents
After excelling at home he moved to Europe, playing in Sweden's Allsvenskan for Gefle IF and Djurgårdens IF — making over 100 appearances — plus spells with GAIS, Ljungskile SK and Alanyaspor in Türkiye. Each chapter sharpened his belief that success must be paired with responsibility.
Education as empowerment
Even at the height of his career, education stayed central. After retiring from professional play he earned a Master's degree in International Sports Law from ISDE Law Business School in Spain. That conviction now fuels the foundation's mission: young people from disadvantaged backgrounds deserve access to quality learning, mentorship and the chance to dream beyond their circumstances.

Yussif Alhassan Chibsah was born in Accra, where his passion for football and education began.
Professional football career
A midfielder for the Black Stars and captain of Asante Kotoko, later playing in Sweden and Türkiye.
Founded Chibsah Foundation
Established the foundation to address critical needs in healthcare, clean water and education.
Advanced education
Earned a Master's in International Sports Law and founded Club Consult Africa Ltd to nurture young talent.
Humanitarian leadership
Leads Chibsah Foundation in creating sustainable impact across Ghana, guided by the UN Sustainable Development Goals.
Club Consult Africa Ltd
A sports management and consultancy firm nurturing football talent across Africa — providing professional representation, career development and mentorship so young athletes are equipped for success on the pitch and life beyond it.
